MONEY MEDITATION I  — My Personal Relationship With Money 

     After achieving a positive and intended personality quietness, formulate clearly to yourself and in your own words the answers to the following questions:   

  1. What is my personal attitude towards money?  Do I regard it as a great and possible spiritual asset, or do I think of it in material terms? 

Questions for further amplification on the above.  (You need not answer them all.  Simply reflect upon the entire body of questions as a whole, or choose one or more which really interest you each month to work upon).  

a.   What are my feelings/thoughts towards people with money? 

  1. Do they deserve or not deserve their fate?
  2. Are they spiritual or material because of this?

b.  What are my feelings/thoughts towards people without money?  

  1. Do they deserve or not deserve their fate?
  2. Are they spiritual or material because of this?
  3. How much money is it alright for me to manifest in my life?
    1. What would I use the money for?
    2.  What personal needs legitimately need fulfilling before I could selflessly and joyously use money to assist others?
    3. How do I know if I am being excessively selfish with the money I manifest in my life?
    4. How do I know if I am personally denying my own needs and creating cleavages because of a lack of enough money in my life?
  4.  What would help me feel in right relationship with money from a spiritual perspective?
    1.  In the way of more efficient understanding of how money works (how it is gained, lost, conserved, or foolishly wasted)?
    2. In relationship to assisting my service activity (based upon the life style demanded to accomplish the vision I have of what I want to manifest)? 
    3. In respect to proper tithing to assist charitable organizations?  How much should be tithed and when?  What individuals or groups could best benefit from my donations? 
  5. What practical steps do I need to take to better utilize and manifest money in my life?
    1.  In regards to more savings, less debt, wiser economy, better planning, clearer visions and goals of how I intend to make money, how much is needed, what I hope to do with it, where I want to be financially in five, ten, twenty years or more? 
    2. What do I need to learn in regards to asking for more support financially (in respect to compensation for my work, or in respect to finding donations by way of grants, loans, gifts, etc.)
    3. How much do I currently know and need to learn regarding the management and circulation of money (including the right use of credit cards, financial planning, budgeting, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, IRA’s’, grants, loans, 401K’s, and other money investment programs)?

c.     What would be the “ideal” financial life for me in my opinion?  Why?
